I love the fact that many of our players that had become easy targets for the media and impatient supporters alike played well today.

Bling was terrific, hard at the ball, broke the lines and kicked three goals.

McMahon racked up the possessions, was great by foot and kicked a beautiful goal off a step from the 50. Impressive.

White and Edwards were great by foot and fast. They provided pace and run and should be retained in the team for the long term.

Richo was great up the ground and even in defence. This is his best position TW!


The only negative about the game I could see was that it wasn't in Melbourne or on free to air TV and I consider that pretty meaningless in the big picture.

Even at 40 points up at 3QT and then them kicking the first goal it got me worried we were going to do the un-do-able and lose, but to see us put them away made me very very pleased.

Freo kicking that goal gave me the usual sick gut feeling we were gonna throw it all away.  Glad to say we kept on going and burried them, something else rfc hasnt done recently.  maybe things are changing and i for one couldnt be happier i just hope they keep going in this direction.

It was so pleasing that we won and are back in the 8.
The only down side is that the Pies are still in there and that the Blues won also.
