funny you say that just a week ago was having dinner with the olds and i said there is something really odd about that family and i stand by that.

If its true he should be locked up as there is zero place in society for that crap.
Even beating up your own sex should be rewarded with time in the lock up.

MATTHEW Newton arrived at a Sydney rehab clinic by limousine, a source has revealed.   

Staff at Wentworthville's Northside West Clinic welcomed the former X Factor host last Wednesday.

But his highly agitated condition is continuing to alarm his counsellors.

"He is not being treated for alcohol or drugs - that has nothing to do with how he is," they said yesterday.

"It is a very, very severe depressive condition."

His admission followed an alleged violent clash with actress Rachael Taylor in a Rome hotel on August 14.

Taylor allegedly fled Italy with head injuries, while a "fragile" Newton flew to Dublin where he was expected to film segments for Seven's upcoming talent show.

A network producer escorted him back to Australia and "the care of his family" before he was checked in to the treatment centre.



It is understood New Idea will fast-track publication of an eyewitness account of the star's Roman rage tomorrow, ahead of its usual Monday sale. A magazine spokeswoman declined to comment on the suggestion editors had sat on the story.
