There was one "effort" yesterday that summed up Bellis.

Kicks it oit on the full. On the turnover ball gets back to his opponent.  What did BEllis do?

Rush to the contest and try and spoil?

Nah... just stood there and didnt move, and then flapped his arms .

At that point it wouldnt have mattered what he did for the remainder of the game (he got worse BTW) he lost any miniscule amount of respect I had for him. For a senior player that was unforgivable.

A number of years back when we played up in Cairns I paid out on Webberely for his game. For his lack of effort, chasing, tackling basically everything. People should remember it he was subbed out ont he 2nd qtr due to his efforts. It was the most disgraceful performances I'd ever seen by a Richmond player. Said he should never have the honour of wearing a Richmond jumper again and he didn't.

Yesterday up at boutique stadium after witnessing what i did, I felt that way again

Ellis showed a lot of promise a few years back.  Wtf happened to the dude?

I’ve defended him for years but have now lost faith.  Thanks for the scrappy service Brando, your time is up.

Disagree
That’s just pure laziness and poor skill

Bellis was summed up just under 5 left in the first where he refused to go with the flight

Like always he was scared to do it

You mean when both he and his opponent turned around to face the contest with a pack of 6 coming the other way? Probably remembers getting sprayed by Astbury for flying at the footy last week and not being at ground level where his opponent was.

He wasn't good but that happens 100 times a game, Damo. Had no chance of effecting the contest as it was always coming to ground anyway

He NEVER goes with the flight
Whether packs coming or not
Petrified

Am I tough, would I go with the flight, no and no

But I don’t play AFL footy

Blokes that are scared shouldn’t be in Richmond’s side, and he’s the main offender

Simply not true. Even the harshest BEllis critic would acknowledge he's done courageous things going back with the flight. Last 3 mins against Bulldogs late last year is a prime example.

Ground level is where the short steps are.

It’s when he has the ball he hesitates and panics, not when he doesn’t.

being a panic merchant across half back doesn't even mean he's soft, it means he's scared to turn the footy over because he's not comfortable back there.

he does have legitimate problems putting his head over it at times and that's probably the main thing that gets supporters on his arse.

so who was running back with the flight with 4.26 left in the first q when coniglio kicked it out of the centre, then stopped because he didnt want to get crunched?

Can someone please put up the video link on here in slowmo

Yeah he would have made no difference to the contest. He and his opponent bath stayed down, as Ellis has been instructed to do after flying in multiple contests he shouldn't have last week.

I'll concede he's not exactly the hardest bloke going around but you blokes singling him out for that is ridiculous. Short, Rioli, Lambert, Butler, Houli etc all do it.

One in all in....:shh
