It was the view of the panel that King's actions were not excessive or unreasonable in the circumstances.

Have to save that one for posterity.

I wonder if the club, coaches, leadership group and the playing group in general ever get sick and tired of having to make excuses for Jake King's undisciplined acts against opposition players which is regularly resulting in suspensions - which disrupts team structure - and 50 metre penalties for umpire abuse, that stop our momentum in crucial moments in hard fought games.

We all love the romantic notions surrounding the aura of the PUSH UP KING, but is his attitude really what PROFESSIONAL football is really about?

When did he get a 50 against him? I seemed to have missed it

I think Ekto is referring to the other week. Certainly didn't give away a 50 this week, bit his tongue this week  ;D

I think you are referring to the other weekS Bill. WIth emphasis on the plural part of the S.

Richmond forward Jake King has been offered a one-week suspension from the AFL Match Review Panel stemming from Friday night’s win over St Kilda.

King was charged with a Level One tripping offence against the Saints’ Stephen Milne during the first quarter of the match at Etihad Stadium.

Based on video evidence and a medical report from the St Kilda Football Club, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point).

This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 80 demerit points and a reprimand.   Due to an existing bad record of five matches suspended within the last three years, the penalty was increased by 50 per cent to 120 demerit points and a one-match sanction.

He also has 71.85 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 191.85 points and a one-match sanction.  An early plea reduced the sanction by 25 per cent to 143.89 points and a one-match sanction.

So when Kingy comes back it'll be six matches suspended within the last three years and a loading penalty of 60 percent? So pretty much anything Kingy does that the MRP doesn't like will see him automatically suspended rather than reprimanded due to this loading.
