Just analysed the replay and anyone wanting Houli and Lambert dropped are insane. I know it isn't fashionable but I also reckon Elton may have a breakout game soon. He crashed packs including one time where he was 1 on 4 and brought the ball to ground resulting in a goal chain. Remember the kid has played less than 10 games! Chol would get smashed in that circumstance. Oh...and 'Elise' is still a squib whose turnovers are usually his highest team stat. I'd rather keep Menadue in and develop him.

INS: Vlastuin, Lloyd

OUTS: Elton, Menadue

And on Houli, last qtr his smother wasn't the sign of a soft player. He was excellent last night

Chol hasn't the body yet for AFL it might kill him.

I'd consider playing Soldo ruck and Nankervis CHF. Is he ready or able yet?

We need a KPF so unfortunately Elton probably has to stay. Hopefully something clicks.  :pray

Ins: Vlastuin. Miles.

Outs: Markov. Menadue.

At some stage hopefully C. Ellis can take the spot of B Ellis.
The club that keeps giving.

Ellis is definitely an overrated squib and that is amazing seeing nobody rates him.
Lots of people name their swords......

I agree
But need to replace Elton with another tall.
Can't expect Nankervis to ruck entire game

So in general you don't think Houli is soft WP?

Smothering is the bare minimum of an AFL footballer I would think.

Houli had 10 possessions in last quarter
Hold in high regard at club
Won't get dropped
Keyboard warriors can tap on there Keyboard and protest as much as they want
Interesting you highlight Bachar for dropping chest mark but you don't say a word about Trent doing the same
Oh , it was a slippery ball
Interesting you said the same about Hunt being held in high regard at the club, and I think everyone now knows his papers are stamped.

You mention Cotch dropping a chest mark and fair enough but Cotch has a lot of runs on the board and Houli does not.

You hang your hat on his last quarter but in reality his first 3 quarters were putrid.

I would like to see Houli kick on his right like Cotch did with his left for that absolute bullet pass he kicked into the F50, actually I don't think I have ever seen Houli kick on his right

You are right
Houli can't kick on his right
But he does his job

Could McIntosh play that role?

Giulio has a role to play and he played it well this week
Surely we can find a spot for Miles

Elton out and Vlastuin in.

McIntosh to play the old ruck rover (relief ruck) against Ottens. I could see McIntosh playing out of the square as the second tall forward - relief ruck.

Miles is a very good player but i don't see him taking a spot at this stage unless we have an injury we don't know about.

No I don't think he is soft.

Yes I've seen him not attack contests the way he should at times but I could name a number in the side that have done  that. He ain't alone there. I've seen him go in for the hard ball and almost get his head knocked off while others have stood back and offered no support

I also get that there are players no matter what they do people will not see it. But sometimes you have to take the blinders off and acknowledge when they do well. Had to do it last week with Astbury. Houli was very good last night. But; last night's effort needs to be the norm not the exception

stuff it - we're not going to upgrade anyone before round 12 so just bring back Lennon for Elton....McIntosh, Grigg and anyone else  6' 4 and over can share back up ruck duties....or we can just concede the ruck like Geelong did v North and shark Adelaide's hit-outs....can't keep going into matches carrying these useless oversized inanimate objects posing as footballers just because they can occasionally impersonate a ruckman...did that enough over the last two years....
