« on: March 08, 2006, 03:15:37 AM »
Who do you guys and gals think would of made a 2nd XVIII RFC team of the century if there was one?

As a reminder, the actual team of the century was:

B:   Sheedy        Thorp       Green
HB: McCormack  G.Strang   Keane
C:   Bourke        Barrot       Clay
HF: Richo           Hart        Dean
F:   Weightman   Titus       B.Morris
R:   Wright,  Dyer,  Bartlett
Int: Rowe, Raines, Stewart, Knights

Jack Baggot was robbed in the original one. Richo and Knights shouldnt have been selected. Our team of the century became a farce for many of our supporters because it was political and thats a disgrace.

The original TOTC IMO was too heavily weighted on the 60s/70s era but that's probably true of all clubs selecting players from the last 50 years because most supporters saw them play. The Tigers of the 20s, 30s and early 40s played in 15 GFs within just 25 years :o but only what 5 blokes were picked from that era in the TOTC.

Anyway I would have Rioli, Cloke, Roach, Freezer and Cambo in a 2nd XVIII TOTC from whom I saw play.  Baggot and Dan Minogue (dual premiership captain) from those I've heard about from pre-WWII
