Wallace on 3aw
« on: December 18, 2004, 02:18:18 PM »
Happy election is over. Hoping everyone nows moves on and accepts the result to give the Club stability.

Miller was obviously a major factor.

Infighting had a destructive effect. Perception of Richmond wasn't good. Said the board is now settled and Steve Wright has got the management aspect of the Club up and running. It's up to the footy department now to step up.

Said old Richmond was about trigger points in regards to certain games. Terry said you've got to formulate a plan and follow it. If you lose a game or two along the way so be it.

Two objectives next 12 months was to develop a team orientated game and to be competitive. Game simulated training was part of that.

Said we can play all three of Simmonds, Stafford and Knobel but the point was to have the option if one goes down.

Thanked supporters for getting out and vote in large numbers. Glad the result was clearly one way.

YES, YES, and FARKEN YES !!

We've always been reactive and never pro-active.  Grinding down four quarters.......what the stuff is that ?  Is that footy ?  Is that what people pay to see ?  Is it any wonder why we lost 2.2M ?

Imagine a pro-active game plan where the opposition have to worry about us for a change where we dictate terms and they are chasing our arse.  The G will rock off it's foundations.

Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Over the past 10 years you always knew we would get smashed in "big" games by the way we acted as a Club in the lead up to them - Melb 98, Carlton 2000 and every match against the Dons  :help. All talk before the game but then never bothering to show up and getting pulverised  :banghead. Good riddens!
