Looks like Essendon were bluffing or wanted one of the 4 midfielders in the top 6.

Funny blunder by AFL.com.au - they mucked it up and had Collingwood taking Cameron Miller (pick 74 in Burgan's phantom draft) at pick 2. I was thinking good old Balmy, Malthouse and Judkins riding the pies into the ground  :rollin

Im pleased the late mail was proven correct. pleased to oblige. As for our effort...usually i bag the club...but today im a bit unsure if i should do that. I like Hughes...he was a good get at 24. I rated him a band 1 player...I also rated Oakley Nichols a band 1 player...in effect we ended up with 2 first rounders....but poo I hope Mitch Clark doesnt come back to bite us on the arse. Anyway Casserley was poor in the carnival...but info has it that he'll be ok...a good hard running quick midfielder...who runs lines...exactly a Wallace type. Im amazed we got Hughes...I reckon if he works hard...he'll be terrific.

Today we moved one step closer to a Premiership. A small step...but atleast and unlike other drafts...we didnt stuff up. Cant say the same about the Pies. Esp with Thomas...I did however rate Pendlebury and I think he'll be ok.

That's the main thing to come out of today. This draft wasn't rated highly. There are many unknowns in terms of which kids will make it unlike last year. If at least two out of the three go on to play 100-150+ games then we'll be laughing.

Caro's blowing Hawthorn's trumpet on 3aw. She even said Wallace was envious and that some recruiter told her they'll win 4 flags in a row in 6 years! That's what they said about the Saints 5 years ago ::).

Atleast we didn't take any of those injury guys, now i can see our new draft picks from this year and some from last year in the Wiz Cup!  ;D
