Early days but a first year tall raking up 21 possies at 86% disposal efficiency, 5 marks, 3 bounces (meaning he runs the ball) and two 1%ers is a great effort.

Possible chance to be the rising star nominee this week you'd think.

Funny a couple of times against the bigger bodies he looked a bit lost today I thought

I actually think he needs a rest - couple of times looked really slow

Great prmosie though, IMHO I think he (& Griffiths for that matter) has bolted past Post

20 possies at 75% efficiency for a first year player in a side that got pumped. Not bad for 195cm tall cub selected at pick 35. Astbury obviously has a long way to go and still more to learn but we're learning who wants to stand up when times are tough.

ditto. hopefully once he gets a couple more pre-seasons under his belt he'll be a top player at the club.
Push up!

Credti where credit is due

I thought he loked absolutely lost 10-15 minutes but then once he settled he was without doubt our best defender yesterday.

Which in a way is a sad indictment on our more senior key position backman from yesterday

This ones a keeper.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

I was referring to one in particular who refused to even stay remotely close to his opponent
