Thought he went ok last night, did some good work off the ball and contested well. First game back ......pass for mine.

As a regular reader of this forum, I know that will mean a lot to him  ;D
It's that simple Spud

He got through the game unscathed and kicked a goal. Really anything positive he does in the last few rounds is a bonus confidence wise for him. We can't really judge him until next year after he's had a preseason which he wouldn't have had coming into this year.

Was never quick, now he looks pedestrian... :-\ hopefully it's just him not adjusting to the tempo after the knee rather than the injury physically slowling him down.... I was a fan when we drafted him, think he's a pretty smart footballer, but at the moment I'm struggling to see him in our side long term.

FF Jack
CHF Vickery
CHB Chaplin
FB Rance
3rd Tall Grimes and even Batchelor plays taller and can punch above his weight.

Slot Griffiths in somewhere too if you can, most likely fwd now.  Pretty hard seeing him and Post forcing their way into the side as KPP. Elton is still too young to mention but athletically he has them covered easily and I love the way he attacks the ball. Should we look at trading one of Post and Astbury? If we can get anything for them

Wouldn't really rate him based off this season's performances, as I feel they played him purely to get games into him.

Needs to make an impact next year and step up a couple to be worthy of that #12. I always felt when they gave that to him and the #4 to Dusty, that Astbury hadn't shown enough to warrant that.

Really needs a good pre season behind him. Wouldn't judge him too much on this season. Clearly can play the game. His goal against Port was good in the circumstances of the game. Hoping he has a good year next year.

He showed a bit yesterday in patches. I think that with a bit of muscle and experience he will be ok.

Prepared to give him the benefit of the massive doubt seeing he missed close to 18 months of footy

Because at the moment it clearly shows he's missed close to 18 months of footy

Give him 2 more years to make it.

If by then he still hasn't, pee him off.

He didn't even miss a year of footy, WP. Got injured in July last year from memory, definitely played a game or two for us in the second half of 2011. He's been back playing for months as well now. Surely he reminds you of #37 with how he goes about his footy?

Got injured round 12 last year when he dislocated his kneecap, never will forget being up in Sydney that game and seeing the mess his knee was.

Didn't play for the remainder of 2011 as the dislocation caused major damage to his knee ligaments (including the ACL) so he had a reco.

Didn't start playing again for Coburg until around June maybe July.

So I think it's fair to say he's missed over 12 months of footy and close to 15-16 months of AFL footy

Hence why I am prepared to give him some latitude but yeah the way he is moving at the moment it is certainly #37 like  ;D

I actually reckon he showed a bit. Needs a big pre-season.
