We need 2 more star midfielders, 1 Star Key Defender and a Ruckman who knows what hes doing.
And not finish 9th   ;)

Yes agree, I dont want us to tank but we need to use the draft again. I still reckon the 17yo GWS picks are the prime picks. These are the picks we need to chase. We should do whatever we can to get 1 of these picks and get a premium midfielder.

You just can't keep giving sides head starts. Problem the size of the score kicked against us and the bulldogs weren't even at full strength. Another concern need to win more hard ball

Another poor first quarter cost us, Fremantle could have done the same had they kicked straight. One thing i would like to know in relation to free kicks for holding the ball is how many frees we actually get for laying the perfect tackle and being unrewarded compared to getting caught ourselves. It seems we pin one arm they drop the ball and its play on, we do the same and the umpire cant get the whistle in his mouth quick enough. Do agree overall our strength in the must win contests is letting us down but you expect that with a developing squad. Other than the first quarter i thought it was a good effort, past tiger teams would have lost by a 100 after the first quarter blowout.

Edwards going down certainly hurt us.  Graham is useless.  McGuane is useless.

Wonder how the tackle count finished up? Can't imagine we did too well. We didn't seem to be able to apply much pressure through the middle and on the wings.  Doggies always seemed to have an extra man at the contests or on the overlap.

Graham just isn't good enough for this level. Hopefully the saints see something in him as they saw in Plapp, Fiora, Pattison and Polo.

This Richmond team is yet to have that breakthrough win against quality opposition.

All sizzle and no sausage today.Way too much "over the top" positive publicity this week.

Stating the obvious....you cant give teams 50 pts start.

Hardwick may of been out coached this week.....Gilbee had 5 goals within the blink of an eye.

If asked, at the start of the season, whether, in a game that the dogs hit us with everything they have got, we
A: kick 18.10 and/or
B: be within 6 goals at the end,
 would you have taken it?

I would have.

That result pretty much sums up where we are at.

It's been a long time since we have fielded a team that could absorb that sort of intensity from a top 4 contender and not get totally smashed.

Yeah there was Mat.  Had a discussion about it at work earlier in the week and my 'take' was that they were deliberately trying to feed that publicity to expose the team to the hype that comes with being a good side that is expected to win.  All learning curve stuff as they can now sit with them this week and highlight the difference (again) in talking the talk and walking the walk.  The best sides handle the hype and we need to learn that just as we need to learn all the other elements of becoming a top side.

your probably right but it still is frustrating to be 2 goals down and just leak goals thru fundamental mistakes. But we only had 2 players that has played over 100 games, a ruckman that's just there and a young team that will only get better.  :pray
