The RFC site has a poll going on where do you think Richmond will finish on the ladder at the end of the 2007 season?

1 – 4 (45)  12%
5 – 8 (212)  54%
9 – 12 (103)  26%
13 – 16 (29)  7%

Tigers will finish 8th.

We will win 12 games, and our percentage will be about 98%.

They will finish 7th but I'm really hoping that I'm wrong and they finish higer. The reason behind this is, in Mildura the young Tigers were running on and creating  open player to go to. And they were there attacking in packs of 3 and keeping the ball in our hands. And when the Pies got it they made them move the ball to the flanks. And the only reason why we won by only 7 point is cause the other mob done the flood.  :gotigers

12-13th

Simple answer - not enough class in the midfiled.

Our senior on-ballers in Tuck, Johnson, Tivendale, Hyde and Krakouer are probably the worst in the competition.  When you think about it these 5 are our most experienced midfielders, and Johnson is our no.1 tagger.  Who is gonna make the play?  Who is gonna create?  Who is gonna grab a game by the throat and win it off their own boot?  Simple answer - None of the above.

We can't rely too much on the likes of Foley, Deledio, Polo and Tambling to carry us to finals.  People like to fantasise but it won't happen.  These kids are 2-3 years away from making a strong impact, however I have my doubts on most of them.

In order to be competitve against the better midfields our better senior players in Bowden, Brown and Newman must help out in the midfield.  But Terry is reluctant to play them so that's why we'll struggle big time.

I can still remember the Bulldogs, Swans, Saints and Eagles floggings we copped last year.  Cast your mind back.  Don't try to erase these memories.  We had absolutely no answers in the midfield.  None at all.  The opposition were doing as they liked.  We looked like we didn't belong there.  Tuck, Hyde, Krak and Tivendale can't compete with these guys.

Sure we're gonna scrounge a few wins here and there, against the bottom teams with our desperation and determination when our backs are against the wall, but when the big boys come out to play, we might aswell not waste our time and energy.  The cream always rises to the top, and untill we put the limited cream we have in the middle, then we will always fall in a heap.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

20th March Ladder Predictions

Sydney 15-20 (Wins)
Western Bulldogs 15-20
Adelaide 15-20
Fremantle 15-20
Geelong 15-20
St.Kilda 10-15
West Coast 10-15
Richmond 10-15

Port Adelaide 10-15
Collingwood 5-10
Melbourne 5-10
Hawthorn 5-10
Brisbane 5-10
Essendon 5-10
Carlton 0-5
Kangaroos 0-5

i want on a ladder predictor and did every match and this is what i got ...

i am not confident about this ladder ... but there are some surprises ...

i think western bulldogs are too high ... but there draw seemed easy ...

i am tipping sydney for top ...

west coast are very low ... but i think that is wrong ... they should win more ...

having us at 8th is nice ... but i don't think so ...

geelong and st.kilda should be in the 8 with western bulldogs ...

so my 7 would be ... (in no order) ...

sydney, west coast, adelaide, fremantle, geelong, st.kilda, western bulldogs ...

8th place is up for grabs ...

port adelaide, melbourne, collingwood, richmond, hawthorn are the contentors ...

hopefully that ladder is correct !

i don't like Essendon or Kangaroos or Melbourne ... don't want these teams to make the eight ...

so 9th, 10th and 11th ...

hopefully we finish last with 4 wins ... carlton with 5 wins ...

no point in winning 7 matches now and finish 10th-12th ... go rock bottom and get rid of more players !!!

13th - 16th

Finishing 13th

I think that we have a long way to go before we can compete for a finals spot.
-Skill level is still a MAJOR issue, you cant turn the footy over like we do and expect to win.
-Depth is still lacking, When Richo doesnt play there isnt anyone else to dominate up forward.
-Ruck: Simmo is a major factor in our team, if he comes back well from injury then we may push higher but we cant rely on Knobel and Patto to get us through.
-I also dont think we have improved like some of the other teams such as Carlton, North, Essendon etc they all seem a lot more exciting this year than we do.

Nothing changes much for me except the fact that we wont be finishing 13th  ::)

We certainly need to go down the path of the bombers and north and inject some explosive half forwards into our team. Peterson maybe one but i think we also need another. Someone like an Alwyn Davey etc

Aim is to state where you think we will finish 2007. State the range, then the position and give your reasons.

Ranges available

1st to 4th;
5th to 8th;
9th to 12th;
13th to 16th.

My range is 13th to 16th

Finishing Position = 14th

Tough Draw
We're Not Good Enough Yet to Play Finals
Poor Pre Season gives lack of Confidence
R1 is everything, if we win- maybe a 9th to 12th finish is possible, if we lose its bad news for the season.
Midfield not capable of competing with top 8 teams
Defence is average
Scoring pressure is questionable.

Am I the clubhouse leader or did anyone predict lower than 14th?

13th-16th,
Position 13th
Basically not good enough with several players over rated Eg Schultz, Hyde, etc etc etc
Cant expect Richo to keep kicking goals either.
Reckon that Foley is the only geniuine midfielder we have.
No back up whatsoever for Simmo

My predictions with Foley are right
Forget about Simmo for the rest of the season  I reckon, will make little impact when does play due to missing so much work
