I would have thought that scenario Darth would be okay as Howat is promoted for only one injured player at a time. I'm presuming the Club would only have to drop him back to rookie status once Newy was fit then re-promote him for the injured alternative player so it was okay with the AFL.

I like your thinking MT. I want to see Howat get more of a chance next season and easing Newmo back in to it and allow him to regain his confidence is a good thing. We don't want another Brownie. Win Win as far as I'm concerned. Go Cam! Make every post a winner!

That's what I was thinking. We virtually end up with a extra senior spot on our list instead of having both Newy and Howat on the senior list and being one short while Newy recovers through next year. If Howat proves himself worthy of a senior spot after 2 years playing say 15-20 senior games in total over 2 years then we'll have both Newy and Howat up and running for 2008. As you say tiga it's a win-win.
