What a rippa of a bloke he sounds like.....
Shown more in his 22 games than Griffiths and Astbury put together.
If he can stay on the park he will be really valuable to our side.
Just need a decent CHF and our big men for our best 22 would be complete.
McBean could be our man.

My best 22 come finals time  :pray

Grimes   Chaplin     Morris
Houli       Rance      Lids
Vlastuin       Foley     Grigg
Martin     McBean     Newman
Vickory    Jack     Edwards

Maric      Cotch     Jackson

Conca   Ellis/King    Petterd     Tuck

A few options for ya-

I think what the following says is, we have about 30 odd players to choose from that could come in and actually provide something decent to the side. It's been a long time since we could say that. The RFC is in pretty good shape.

Petterd = A. Edwards/O'Hanlon
King =  Arnot/Helbig
Grigg = Ellis/White
Jackson = Lonergan/Dea

From Coburg_FC's twitter:

"Dylan Grimes played just the first half of Development, and had 14 possessions with 7 marks, a good return!"

Great news Dylan got through the game,but I fear if a fly lands on him during the week his whole body might give way.

Yep win the flag and then he can fall to pieces like the car in blues brothers
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Grimes comeback on track
By richmondfc.com.au
4:55pm AEST Monday, July 29, 2013

“It was good to have Dylan out there.  He got through half a game of footy, which was part of his training plan,” said Richmond’s Elite Performance Manager, Peter Burge.

“This week he’ll progress into the VFL ‘ones’, with quite a bit more game time.

“Then, hopefully, he’ll put himself in a position for AFL selection, providing he pulls up well.

“We’ll just do the right thing by Dylan and his career.”

Glenn McFarlane lists the men who could have a big say in September after returning from injury

    Glenn McFarlane
    Herald Sun
    August 08, 2013 12:44PM

DEAR AFL medical staff,

The men listed here - Dale Thomas, Adam Goodes, Grant Birchall, Luke McPharlin, Paul Chapman, Courtenay Dempsey and Dylan Grimes - could play a massive role in their teams' push for the flag, so long as they get the chance.

It's that annual August balancing act where players who have been battling injury - some of them serious - dare to dream of making a comeback and their coaches match risk with potential reward.

And this is where, you, the medical staff, play such an important part as the senior coach prepares to make the hard call on whether to play them or not.

DYLAN GRIMES (RICHMOND)

Surely it is just a question of when Damien Hardwick decides to pull the trigger on Grimes' return to the senior line-up.

Given what has happened in the past, there is no doubt it won't be a hasty decision on the defender who has played only 22 games in four seasons.

Grimes has played one and a half games in the VFL on his return from a foot injury suffered against Geelong in Round 6.

Suspect the Tigers will err on the side of caution. Maybe a return against GWS in the penultimate round?

THE CHANCE: If his body holds up, Grimes will play finals as the Tigers are a better side with him in it.
