Was hoping Spud could return the prodigal son
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Maybe a good thing hes gone then   ;D

Depends, in my mind offensive and forward coach are different roles. Our offensive wasn't all that bad through the backline and the midfield, forward is where we were let down. Wonder Richmond see them as different roles

Leppa was actually offence coach this year.
Who is our defence line coach then, RFCO?

DAMIEN HARDWICK – Senior Coach
BRENDON LADE – Midfield Stoppage Coach
ROSS SMITH – Defensive Analyst
DANNY DALY – Midfield Spread Coach
MARK WILLIAMS – Forward Coach
MARK 'Choco' WILLIAMS – Development Coach
GREG MELLOR – Development Coach
TIM CLARKE – Development Coach

We're not replacing Leppitsch ...

--------------------------

“We’ll not directly replace him (Leppitsch).  We felt as though we’ve got good experience in our coaching group and, certainly with Mark ‘Choco’ Williams coming in this time last year, that added to that,” said Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson, on ‘Trade Radio’.

“We needed to resource our VFL team next year and we’ve been working hard on that . . .

“Development is a big part of any club and will only become a bigger part, going forward, particularly at Richmond.

“So, what our strategy will be, is to appoint a couple of development coaches.

“We’ve announced the appointment of Andrew McQualter (former St Kilda and Gold Coast player) as one of those development coaches and we’re currently in the process of talking to a couple of others.  We hope to make an announcement on that in the near future.”

Is calling someone a "development coach" a tight arse way of appointing an assistant coach?

More like they've promoted Choco without saying the words and are now going to backfill behind him with some cheaper options.

He's gone back to Perth

His family (wife & kids) remained there when he went to Brisbane

On field getting Dal Santo and I reckon they are smokeys for top 4 next year and a few more chances to improve that average losing margin of 80 points in their last 10 finals. ;D
