Richmond Lager
« on: September 03, 2008, 02:17:05 PM »
I heard in the background something on the midday news about Fosters reintroducing Richmond Lager. I wonder if we will have any involvement?

Yup, Fosters are definitely brewing another batch of it.

Not sure about anymore than that.

Ch 10 showed it briefly on their news. It's a different label to the above one but still has a tiger head on it. The tiger head looked a bit like our old early 90s logo.

I work for a fosters warehouse (hopefully not much longer :thumbsup) and we definantly have it! We got about 12 B-Doubles full sent to our warehouse but we still havn't sent any out to the dan murphy's and liqurland's we supply so they must be waiting for a specific time to re-release it.

TigerAdam on Y&B says it's on sale now at Dan Murphys. $14.95 x 6 or 44.95 a slab.

To be honest, I don’t know if this is a genuine beer, or a re-badged beer aimed at Football supporters. But, it is nothing new here, it follows the tried and true CUB style of beer. Aroma is sweet almost a hint of tropical fruit, skunky and a hint of metal. Pour is light amber with a thin chemical head. Flavour is slight corn syrup and sweetness upfront followed by the snap harshness of Pride of Ringwood hops. I really can’t understand this, the flavour is the same as other CUB beers, it’s labelling is blokey like other CUB beers and is priced in the same category. My only guess is someone in Fosters likes Tigers, or The Tigers and has rebadged the beer accordingly.

Julie Hancock on SEN's beer o'clock said you can still get Richmond Lager but it's almost sold out. It's brought out once every 4 years.

It tastes like Fosters Lager.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Got tizz in my pants then saw the post dates.

Why don't they make Richmond Lager permanent?

Social Club would sell by the bucket load.
