Breaking news everywhere here. RIC recruiting team is in meltdown. Sydney and GC locked in discussion. Update shortly

Richmond are incredibly close to losing Prestia here. Knifes edge. I'm told RIC no-showed a planned meeting with GC.

must be the reason why balmey couldn't be on @SENNews this morning. Apparently he had an URGENT meeting to attend.

GC/Syd discussion ongoing. One of the alleged participants in scuffle not present in meeting

Brett Anderson on SEN says pick 6 will go. The issue is the Suns want pick 6 as a straight swap whereas Richmond wants something else in return the other way.

Again, how the stuff can Sydney afford Prestia for 700k when they let Mitchell go for 500?

Edit: If I was GC and I wasn't getting the deal I wanted for Prestia, I would do exactly this. Go and shop him around, talk to other clubs, try and cause a little panic.

Hold firm now Tiges!

Why are we going up there?
They can come down here.
The more this goes on the worse it gets.
This guy is an injury prone player.
I think we should walk away

This deal smelled like bs from the start, some injured player lobs up out of the blue and says he wants to play for us and GC want a top pick for him, what a magical alignment of the stars.  Just like Yarran.  RFC multiple trade molestation victim getting set up again.

If that is a legit chance, we should also consider just taking a pick for Deledio, pick for edwards and going hard at the draft.
This is spot on.

Gold coast have picks 22, 24 and 30. We need something back. Pick 22 would be a pass. Pick 30 probably not.

we want to keep our first round pick no matter what we should do is back ourselves and say were going to have a big year next year and offer  GC next years first round pick and pick up a good player this year... take a risk

No way, next years draft is tipped to be very strong, we should not trade out of it. Also, were likely to have a top 4 pick 😉

Well twitter is in a flutter

Saying GC in discussions with Sydney as things with Tigers have stalled

Tiger fans saying looks like we are stuffing up again  :rollin

Can only be stuffing up if you think Prestia is worth pick 6

Think both clubs are tying to call the others bluff

Who's going to blink twice

Balmey shpuld be used to it went through the saje thing last year over Aish with Brissie

Great entertainment is Twitter  ;D

Time to walk for mine. Not worth pick 6
keep pick 6 or offer it up for another gun. Win/win
Not getting Prestia is not an issue for me and I won't look down on the club for having the balls to hold their ground.
Where I get annoyed with the club is over Lids deal, it appears to have sidetracked us for the entire week and whatever the outcome would've benefited the cats anyway or most probably.
so tell cats to FO,  to gold coast to FO and have balls offer up these middle tier who keep failing us and let's go to the draft and start again.
I don't want another season of treading water.
Because Dimma is about as good as that Italian captain that drove the boat into the rocks

Yep agree... they're calling our bluff, don't blink tigers ffs!

Agreed....keep 6 if they want to play games. Prestia can go to the swans or stay if it means we pay overs. I think at the end of the day it gets done so all parties are happy.

Pick 6 for a player injured last 2 year not even elite. While Hill goes to Freo for pick 23 from hawks twice the better player that's how you trade ,but this is Richmond get sucked in.Even in something in return as I said before we need 2 picks in the mid 20 if pick 6 going or walk away.

What???

You don't need to be in the same room these days to have a meeting
