He wasn't playing in 04 . You can't pin that on him.

Still I agree he has plenty to prove.

He played about 3-4 good games offset by 3-4 poor games, the rest were so-so. So for a player who is pretty much a walk up start I would give him a 4.5 / 10.
5th in B&F is great- except it came against very little competition. His season wouldn't have got a 5th placing at many teams in the AFL.

Reckon it's more some fans expecting him to be Judd. Lids' second half of the year was good and he's still only 20. He's the least of our worries.

sorry but that is your assumption that he "thinks he is Judd", i have never heard Brett say anything of the kind.

unless you want to pull a quote from somewhere.

If Lids wants to be perceived to be a top liner he needs to get more consistency into his game and take more games by the scruff of her neck to influence their final results. I thought he was good and he had improved from his 2006. Hopefully he keeps on improving. He's been in the system for 3 seasons and he must learn to face the pressure of a highly charged environment that is starved of team success.

i was pretty happy with his year, liked his game when he went forward later in the season. Stints up forward getting say 2 goals a game plus time in the action in midfield will make him a very good player for us.

Agree HT74. I think we started to see the first signs of him influcencing the result of games towards the end of the season. The 5 goal game that Ramps already mentioned and that last quarter goal on the run against Essendon.

He's still finding his feet, progressing slowly but surely, second half of last year was the best I have seen from him. No problems here.
