Agree X. No way will Joel be playing on a wing and Lids is wasted at FF.

In: Bowden, Polak
Out: Jackson, Schulz
Terry must have faith in Thursty, Moore and McGuane to do the job on Geelong's 3 tall forward line by dropping Sarge. Perhaps it's a wet weather decision too.

Surely King is in some doubt so maybe he will not play.

I'd have Sarge in long before McGuane at the moment.

polak makes the 4th tall in defence

sarge was crap v the saints, he was ok til then, but a spell was needed, problem is , tuck needs a spell too! as does jordy and newman, but they are safe atm for some silly reasons

McGuane has been doing his job. Doesn't get a lot of possessions but he's always there with a fist and a bit of pressure. Reckon he'd be a pain in the arse to have as an opponent.

With Ottens not playing Geelong don't play all that tall so Polak in makes sense to try and stretch them up forward or give a hand down back if Mooney or Hawkins get going.  McGuane, Thursfield and Moore have been doing the job down back and have the height and mobility to cope as good as anyone.  I agree with TM that Schulz has been doing ok (when played down back) but just as it was a bit of 'horses for courses' with Polak and St Kilda, I think its the same for the Sarge this time around.  And Bowden in the forward line has the potential to muck up the opposition plans and perceptions for us, just as Richo to the wing did a month ago.  He has the pace to run with Scarlett and put pressure on his run out of defence - I just hope he has the mindset to do it.

well well well surprise blood/y surprise, schulz dropped.

i could be wrong but someone say he didn't lay any tackles against the saints or were they talking bout someone else

bowden has shown form and i think he is more valuable than schulz at this stage

Well if it peees down like it seems its the right decision Schulz has been the worst performed between him, Moore, Mcguane and Thursty.

If it turns out fine and dry Bowden may find himself on the outer again.  :-\
