Should the AFL copy other sports and put player names on the back of guernseys?

JON will need to get into the gym and broaden his shoulders to fit his name on ;D.

I'll be in the lone  :-\ minority and say I'm not against the idea. It might bring in a couple of dollars in merchandise sales having DELEDIO or BROWN on the back of jumpers.

I'm a bit undecided at the moment. I wouldn't mind for the fact that I'd be more likey to buy another Richmond guernsey with RAINES on the back etc ;D
However, I'd feel like that would be Americanising our game, which I'm opposed too  :lol

NO!!!!!!! Any half loyal supporter will know the players either by face or by number (julz by biceps pecs and buns ;)). No need to add more crap on the Jumper. I think the americans did it because they wear helmets in gridiron.  :stupid

Number logo's are an idea taken from the English Premier League as an IP branding exercise.

Trying to read players names would be a nightmare with the combination of available jumper space and the pace of today's game. Ridiculous idea.
