I'm furious. Derwood systematically played Petted, Gordon and Morris who are all hacks instead of Lennon.  I don't blame the kid for wanting to go.... :banghead

66-Lloyd-we could have got him in the rookie draft, no one else was interested.
We really needed 2 top 20 picks in that draft and it wouldn't have been that hard to do.

lol the lengths some will go to to bag out.

seriously isnt there enough legitimate things to whine about rather than whinging about not taking our second highest goal kicker for the season in the rookie draft rather than 66?

Yes, I am critical of using draft picks on mature age players, it is a waste
If you think using draft picks on 23yo's is a winning strategy then you must be Francis Hackson in drag

I hope the Gold Coast or the club he nominates has the same enthusiastic consideration for this kids talents as some of our esteemed posters do on this board, because it sounds like this guys a top 10 pick having done nothing in 3 years.

Some people just can't confront the fact ( or just wont ) that this boy was a fizz-er, he has had all the opportunity in the world to make it and he didn't take it, at least not yet.

lmao

using pick 66, our last pick used, the only pick from that draft that netted a player remotely close to being a success and who was our second highest goal kicker, is a waste?

and of course there is a plethora of talent left in the barrel by then

 :lol

Wanted to go last year to Carlton by memory

That is simple not true

He always wanted to remain at Richmond,  hence why he signed a 2 year deal

Know for an absolute fact he wanted to stay

Know more about his sceanrio contract wise ans re-signing than you do

Dare I say it FACT

Can I add, not surprised he wants out after what they've done to him this year

All I said in my post was I thought the strategy was wrong. If you want mature agers that no one else is interested in, then rookie them, if they work out then upgrade them.
Then you don't need to waste a draft pick on them.
Instead, Richmond pick up Hampson at 25yo, who we could have got as a FA the year after, Gordon at 23yo and Lloyd 23yo.

I think the sliding doors moment was him being dropped for Griff in the elimination final. I think that pretty much smashed his desire to bleed for us on field. I really rated Lennon and still do as I think his kicking is fantastic. He probably needs a fresh start to reboot his career. Funnily enough I think simply sacking Damien Hardwick could actually revive Lennon's career.

Too young to be written off, could still become a star. But he obviously isn't showing anything for us.
Do I blame him ? Not particularly. Playing for a crap coach with a crap offensive game plan which doesnt suit any forward in the games history. Why would you wanna stay and play for this crap ? Not much attraction.
