I have said it before, this kid will be a star.

He is a no fuss, straight at it, natural footballer.

Watching him play going forward compared to Bellis is a good thing.

Liam Baker - The Sunday Footy Forum

ABC Radio
Sunday 7 June 2020

Richmond premiership defender Liam Baker joined Clint Wheeldon, Mark Duffield and Ben Cameron on the Sunday Footy Forum to chat about his journey from country WA to a WAFL grand final and then to the Tigers rookie list before winning an AFL premiership in 2019. Baker talked about the long drive back to Punt Road after returning home during the COVID-19 shutdown, his excitement ahead of Thursday's clash with Collingwood, why Dustin Martin ruins drills at training with his freakish skills and how he and his fellow defenders have been trying to do a 'Marlion Pickett'.

Astbury's view of Baker:

Tough little bugger. Best attribute is he has the cleanest hands with the footy.

Cannot doubt this man's endeavour.

Genuinely love having him and the other WA prick Broad down back.

Two hard blokes you know will never squib it.

Love watching him play. He was involved in a play on the wing where he took on a dogs player too the mark and kept running

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Star!

Just good to watch too.
An old fashion type of player.

He and Short give us heaps of run and rebound from defence once the ball hits the ground. (As well as Egg and the moment)
