Im sorry Im gonna pee people off, but we were diabolical tonight. Average performance from us against a team who shouldnt have got within 10 goals of us. My future non premiership players stay in tact. We were smashed in centre clearances in key parts of the game and our defence was a rabble.

Lairising and disrespecting the opposition was the main culprit IMO. It looked like after we had kicked the first 3 goals in 8 minutes of the 2nd quarter that the boys thought the game would be a repeat of the Carlton game - a tightish first quarter then blow them away. We too much tried to take-on and barge through tackles and play cute and fancy with handball. The turning point was when we made 3 skill errors in a row coming out of the backline when we couldn't hit a target and Peverill got a cheap goal on the turnover. Our intensity at the footy dropped off and the bombers came right back at us thanks to Hird. If they hadn't missed so many shots on goal the result could have been different but bad kicking is bad footy so no excuses for the Dons.

We seemed to be in only second gear all night and only livened up when the game got close on the scoreboard or we got angry like after meathead Mark Johnson took a swing at Petts. Richo and Joel were the only ones IMO that brought their A-game to last night's match.
