21 June 2018A sea of yellow and black greeted Richmond premiership player-turned-author Alex Rance as fans queued for more than 2 ˝ hours to meet their idol and have him sign a copy of his book.
Hundreds packed Collins Booksellers and spilled out to Lydiard St as Rance took centre-stage to sign countless copies of Tiger’s Roar.
“I’m pretty staggered and humbled to see so many people, and so many young faces,” he said moments after arriving.
The children’s picture book tells the tale of a Tiger who wants to be his best and learns about self-belief, teamwork and never giving up.
“I want them to take from it that everyone is unique and everyone brings their own strengths. They should be proud of who they are and be genuine to themselves,” he said.
