19 votes or 19 kicks?

One vote for every kick that actually hit it's intended target.

Neither have much credibility. B & F's are invariably just popularity contests amongst the players whilst the coaching staff generally weigh votes in favour of  plodders who best follow team orders and the best trainers. The Brownlow on the other hand has become a midfielders/big names award that is judged by people who are busy trying to officiate the game not spectate and consequently their votes are usually an afterthought - on top of the fact most modern day AFL umpires are of poor standard and lack a natural feel for the game. (Which is both the fault of the media hyping them up as personalities when the nature of their job should demand they be virtually invisible and the AFL doing their heads in with constant rule changes & directives, but that's for a whole other discussion.)

since when do players give votes in B&Fs?
:lol @ votes being given to good trainers.

about the closest to getting that part right is coaches weighing votes to those that follow their directions best, it's just sometimes that is a plodder, except for at Richmond, of course, where that has been the case every year for the last 45 years or so.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
