Could we be Geelong?
« on: June 25, 2014, 08:16:15 PM »
This season has rocked my lifelong commitment to the RFC.

I have found myself just not caring anymore and barely interested.

I feel a bit like a battered wife who has finally realised he isn't going to change.

So in order to turn my vibe around I am searching for a potential positive.

Could we be reminiscent of Geelong 2005/6/7?

Geelong had a crushing finals loss to Sydney in 2005, we had one to Carlton.

They then lost their chain in 2006 and finished 10th without having any real reason for it such as injuries. Like us.

The coach barely survived and then the same list of players won a premiership the next year.

Now I'm not suggesting a flag beckons but could it be that the ghost of season past has hung over us like it did them and we can rebound strongly next year into the top four and beyond?

Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

Gerks 27/6/11

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

Yes I think so, we are better resourced than at any time over the last three decades . The first step is acknowledging we have a problem ,  :shh

When would Richmond kick 35.12.222 and concede 9.11.65 ?

Geez.  :police:

Resourced for how long?  These crowd figures are only going to get worse and soon the money will dry up

I would love to know what the shortfall in crowd numbers amounts to in loss of revenue. Over the next 18 months im tipping it will be more than dimmas current payout
