Please Stop doing the following:

Yes I know we have a light year to rebuild but please Richmond can we at least stop doing the following.

Marking the ball and just hand passing to someone without looking whats around you, 9 times out of 10 their is an opposition player either on the mark or on the tail of the receiver. To many times we took a mark and just hand passed to someone within 2 meters away that was put under pressure immediately to make the next disposal. You've taken the mark and earned the right to make a disposal whilst not being under pressure. Need to assess situations better. This will improve some efficiency.

Leaving the disposal out of the backline up to Thursfield or McGuane. I don't see enough of Deledio and Newman on our last lines. Name the last game McGuane has not being caught holding the ball in the back 50 trying to do something he should not be doing and thats taking on the opposition small forwards.

Standing still when the ball is delivered to you. Too many times are our players standing still waiting to receive the ball. It takes to long to wait for the ball to come to you and then get into 1st and 2nd gear to gt the ball moving. Start moving as soon as the ball trajectory is realised, you meet the ball sooner and your already on the move cutting out the vital seconds wasted waiting for the ball. This will help having more time to dispose of the ball which this year it seems we just have none.

Just simple simple simple 1 percenters that are so hard to watch us continually fail in.

Finally, a team low on confidence does this and it just sends me crazy. When there is pressure and no easy target upfield we are filled with players that just "handball the problem". Eg: Rance of McGuane have the ball in the back 50 and no easy options to kick to. They want to keep possession and not bomb away so they and just wait hoping an option will produce. It seldom doesnt. Umpire calls play on and they start to back away towards goal and just handpass it 2 metres to a team mate stationary who now has the burden of the problem and pressure of the opposition bearing down. 8 times out of 10 results in a trun over. Happens far to often and shows poor team work.

We wont win many games but ge I'd love by Round 16-17 that some of these really poor qualities we consistantly show are out the window by then.
Go Tigers!

As you are a Melbourne supporter Monk, you must be happy with the improvement of the Dees these days?

If we take a mark in the forward 50 FFS have a shot and stop turning it over in an attempt to find a player on a better angle. Biggest momentum killer in the game this type of turnover. Richo never did this because he always backed himself. If we have players in our forward 50 that cannot kick 40m then they shouldn't be playing!  :banghead :banghead

Also as others have said, stop the friggin blind handballs to stagnant players already under pressure and stop waiting to recieve the ball flat footed. If you look at Geelong players they are always on the go whereas our boys look like they are playing a zone offence!  :lol

Farmer's fumble when we were 15 down in the second on the Southern Stand wing when he was METRES in the clear and the Bombers forced the throw in only for the next sequence to see Essendon number 23 kick a pi$$y bouncing goal and then get another a minute later was a momentum killer. Suicidal elementary mistakes. If skills let you down that is one thing but under no pressure if you can't pick up the footy then......... :banghead

Great observation. In every game this season the opposition have kicked at least one goal where the ball has dropped short and a ruckman on the line could've and would've got a hand to the ball.
