4peat

I see what you've done there. You've created a platform
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Hard to say

Like it or not but "medal gate photo" could impact our start

We lose multiple players than it's going to be a great test of our depth

Even without "medal gate" think our start is going to be so important

Top 8 and see what happens. Tougher draw and other sides will have done their homework.

Reckon this is so true, draw is goingto be so interesting

We also had a great run with minimal injuries this season

Want top 4, but reckon top 8

We still have the best key backman in the league, a FF who kicks 50 odd goals a year without being a primary target, a very underrated captain and some tattooed guy for the team to rally behind. I don't think Houli will play as well as he did in the GF ever again (which I don't mind because he was amazing when it mattered the most) meaning 2018 is the year someone like Short or Markov can make a statement to try and force him out of the side.

Caracella isn't stupid and he probably knows all and well a lot of teams will try and counter the fast "undersized" pressure cooker gameplan but I back him, Leppa and Dimma to develop the younger brigade and produce another strategy to send us in the top 4 again.

Everything clicked from the second quarter against Freo. They realised they were a great side and could go all the way.

It reminded me of the time the Cats thumped us by 150+ and hardly lost a game from that moment on.

Top 8 I still reckon were a middling list with holes but we have our stars and some good depth. But it could still fall apart if jack or Rance got injured.

If we are a middling list, what does that say about the rest of the competition- especially the top 4 whom we beat by an average of 8 goals through the finals

In order of importance to the team how would you place out top 4, I would have

Rance
Martin
Cotchin
Jack

I'd swap Jack and Cotchin around. But that's about it.

Does it matter? We are a middling list

Need at least three talls in the forward line or it won't work

Says we just gelled well and the rules atm favour a short running team. If you has the choice of Geelongs back line in its great era or Hawthorns or ours which would you pick? You might say Rance is the best player in all 3 but our other 5 backs wouldn't be in the top 6 I'd bet. Yet we didn't leak. As a collective we gelled.
