In the vfl games I saw live Chol looked good down back. Looked like he knew what he was comfortable back there.

You don't have to put all your talent in the forward line.

Or do you guys want to replace Chappy with another Chappy?

Well according to some well known experts on here, you are not allowed to play a midfielder or forward in the back line

The Vfl I saw live chol looked like a headless chook

I respectfully enquired as to what was going on to a staff member and they looked bemused

Chol was putrid down back IMO. He would compete at the initial contest then have know idea that he needed a second effort if the ball was still in his area. And that has nothing to do with age or inexperience.
A natural backman is thinking about the second effort before he has competed for the first one.
Generally a natural forward is just more gifted when it comes to getting the pill on the fist attempted.
Chol is a ruck-forward, so play him there.

Interesting. Fair enough if that's your take.

He was definitely outmuscled a lot, but that was always going to happen. I thought he read the play much better in defence and his ball use and decision making coming out of the back half was good. .

I should point out that I'm referring to the second half of the VFL season. Helooked lost both forward and back in the early games.
