Schulz has done his knee
« on: March 26, 2011, 03:09:39 PM »
Just now in the Port-Pies game. Luke Ball's body weight went across Sarge's right knee. He's been taken off on a stretcher.

Thats really bad for him, lets hope it's not the season.

Medial rather than ACL apparently.

They say the initial pain when you do your ACL is excruciating and then it subsides and you can walk around relatively normally

But when you strain a medial the pain lingers and your are put on cructches straight away

Useless bit of nothing there I suppose  :wallywink

Bottom line hope for Jay's sake it's the medial

Good luck to Sarge. Speedy recovery.

Surprised to find out he was in Port's leadership group.

Yep.  Like Andy Krakoeur,  never did anything wrong by the club.  Circumstances are what circumstances are and I hope both these guys go on to have long and successful AFL careers.  As long as they don't tear us a new one when we play them!

Except lose a major sponsor.

Seriously though that's rotten luck. Good luck to Jay, he is a good kid.

He wasn't solely responsible - just the last link in the chain.  And it forced the club back to the marketplace where they got a new major sponsor worth more $$s so I don't think his actions did any harm - maybe even some good by forcing the players to look at the potential ramifications of their actions.

Did us a favour as we got more out of AFG than we got from TAC
