But unfortunately still cannot take grabs consistently to save himself

Need to offer more than good tap work, which by the way at times went to the advantage of the Bulldogs too many times

Long way off being on our best 22
disagree. one injury to maric and he has to play, so in fact not a long way off.  our ruck stocks are diabolical. this is what happens when you have too many blokes who can perform two roles not very well. you end up being short for both kpfs and ruckmen.

On the back of 37 hitouts, not enough of which were to advantage...

Went well the big man. Got around the ground, took it on, got involved with it..really tapped to advantage an his second efforts were really good. :clapping

Got first hand to the tap out most of the time. Ruck work was ok without being brilliant. Was a poo truck elsewhere around the ground

I thought he was better than that actually WP.

Was at the game WAT (great fun it was too back at a surburban ground) and I thought he was average, a typical Hampson game. Plenty of hit outs and not much else

But unfortunately still cannot take grabs consistently to save himself

Need to offer more than good tap work, which by the way at times went to the advantage of the Bulldogs too many times

I agree if Maric goes down he plays; that is obvious

But a fit Maric means there is no place for Hampson in our 22, that's the reality of his place in the pecking order

That's a BIG but, WP.
The same but that the club seem to think, isn't.
Hampson and Vickery are simply damaged goods.
So what did they do.....they got Ivan's cousin.
He's never played the game. Lol.

Take a step back and assess the situation.
It's laughable.
One real reliable ruckman in 10 years and no urgency to target an established tall for the ruck YET
they somehow expect to go top four on the hope that blokes like Conca and Ellis will more than cover that void.

The club is either bullshitting you or has nfi they are so far off the mark.

It seems they've profiled the supporter base as majorly morons.

GIVE ME A stuffING BREAK, FELLAS,
absolutely spot on ox.  some of us have been screaming out for more talls including ruckmen for yrs on end yet we continue to get this sort of list management.

who in their right mind would say vickery can play as a top line ruckman, same goes for griffiths and mcbean. hampson at least gives a decent ruck contest but we need more than just a tap ruckman cand last but not least we have a 19 yr old in soldo whos hardly ever played the game. and this sort of situation has gone on for yrs. we are still in the situation of lose maric and we dont have a decent ruckman its criminal the way the list has been run. the same can be said for all types of tall  defenders and all types of tall fwds.

ffs they constantly come out and say we need mids and proceed to use picks on flankers or sceptical mids. wehave lacked polished accountable sml and medium defenders for how long yet the need is never addressed and the exact same can be said for sml fwds.

for as long as we recruit poorly and manage the list poorly we will stay mired in mediocrity.

whos focused on yesterday, yesterday was just a continuation of whats gone before.

gotta ask did we do anything at all to address the maric situation in the off season. simple answer to that is no it has nothing to do with yesterday.
those of us who complain about our recruiting and list management  were complaing long before yesterday.
