Hubby had his wallet stolen last year.  I was ropable as all the joint accounts, bar one, had to be frozen.  And to make matters worse the jerk who stole it went straight to a camera shop and bought a $600 digital camera before we realised it was even missing.  Beats me how any Asian can pass with the name Craig.  We've all being calling hubby "Claig" now.

Depends on how many witnesses were around as to what i'd do lol
No witnesses - pocket it
Witnesses - make the grand gesture of handing it back  :rollin

Ummmm kidding lol

Living by the creed what goes around comes around
and given I have lost wallets in 3 different countries and none have ever been returned(lmao)
I would have to say keep it.

I wouldn't use anyones credit cards simply because you would expect the odds to
rise dramatically og gettung caught.

I would keep the cash and possibly post the rest back with a Thank You note.

Another "GOOD" thing u can do is put the cash in your wallrt and take their wallet to the cop shop
saying that u found it that way.
They wont believe you but what r they gonna do ?

I'd keep the cash, especially if it was only a trivial amount, then hand the wallet in to the cops. it's the standard play. I'd expect the person who finds my wallet to do the same.

I've only lost my wallet once luckily and didn't lose much in the way of cash.

Yep - Keep the cash and send the rest back. Nothing worse than peeing around cancelling cards and ordering new ones.

My dad found a St Kilda player's wallet years back - can't remember his name - big ruckman and think his name was Jodie FFS lol.
But when he returned it, no thank you, nothiing - just grabbed it and closed the door hahaha!

But imagine if you lost your wallet.  Wouldn't you be stoked (and very surprised) to find the money all there?  It would be nice to think there are still some honest people left in the world. :cheers

One time I lost my engagement ring at Evans Head.  I reported it to the local police and checked with the shop owners in the vicinity of where I lost it.  Two days later the police came looking for me (??!!) and said they had my ring.  Some kind person found it in the gutter and took it to the Cop Shop.  I didn't have a lot of money at the time, but I got the person's name and address and wrote a letter of thanks to them.

Take the cash and return the rest.

If I lost my Wallet I'd want the person who found it to do the same.  I would want him/her to take the money as it would be like a reward for returning all my personal ID and other stuff that is a ball breaker to replace.

It's standard practice now LMAO.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?
