Are they that stupid?

Why demand change and want to keep the Hardwick, Gale, Jackson or Hartley?
Why would they announce Balme without speaking with him first?

The current mob are delusional but this new mob is bloody stupid.

Mindboggling.  :facepalm

They didnt actually announce Balme, the baited question was asked, would you look at someone like Neil Balme and he said of course we would -  somehow thats turned into them announcing balme without speaking to him.

I've been thinking about this, what football person of any ilk would tie themselves to a ticket to overthrow a board? no-one, so why do people expect tickets to have a new CEO, Footy ops manager and his dog ready to go? and if they don't they say nah not good enough. Seems pretty silly.

Yeah good point.  He did say balme was the obvious choice, never said balme would definitely fill the role.  Think he just got a bit muddled up and it came out worse than it was.

But I don't understand the thinking behind Hardwick.  It could have been an easy win and a big statement if they said they'd look to replace him.  Probably they were advised by the PR group to say they would back the current staff for the time being even though they want him out to not look like their whole platform was to sack the coach.  Seems strange they want to improve our core business in football and retain mr fantastic.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Spot on,it's amusing at how things have been portrayed from that announcement.
Jack Riewoldt was spot on when it comes to these parasite journo's,they try and make a story rather than find out the truth.

Whats embarrassing is how many people just believed it as gospel and worse yet, they think the current board is doing a good job!

He certainly did last night on Talking Footy

Said he was very confident they would deliver Balme, they'd would talking to him today. When Timmy asked how he could guarantee that Dr Hiscock said "well Brunce Monteath and Neil Balme are good friends"

...when he said that about Monteath & Balme, my immediate thought was "wonder if they still are after today?"

Nobody prompted him about it either.....can't blame the media for that stupidity....
