I can’t work Freo out, but they seriously look to have stuffed this up. 2 first round picks and a sweetener for Hill, with one of those picks no.6 is crazy.

Freo can barely work themselves out - shyte club that will never win anything... :shh

Hawthorn get Sam Frost, picks No.42, No.61 and next year's fourth-rounder.

Melbourne get pick No.50 and next year's second-round pick.

Melbourne get Ed Langdon, pick 26 and a future fourth rounder.

Fremantle get pick 22, 79 and a future second round selection in return.

From Barrett's 'Sliding Doors' column today:

IF ... Trade Period inactivity is normally dangerous for a team in the premiership mix ...

THEN ... for the Tigers it simply doesn't matter. Have already got the "recruit" of next year in Rance.

Q. What's the value of Menadue and MacIntosh? If freo want both of them what do you think a trade would look like?

A. Not huge value. Maybe in the one deal the Tigers get a third round pick?

Just got mail that we [Ricmond[ are still right in the frame for a mature mid from the west.

Dororo/Essendon asking for Heeney and Blakey for Daniher.

Talk about deluded!  :rollin

And they wonder why they haven't won a final in 15 years when they act as obstinate unprofessional tools during the trade period every year, massively overrating their own players on the trade table, holding up other clubs from trading and getting nothing done. Which other club has its own players demanding the club force a teammate to stay against his will? Which other club wants two top 10 picks or two young opposition stars in exchange for a player who's hardly played in two years and who they themselves refuse to offer a new contract to?

Oh well, it was their deluded arrogance and idiocy that gifted Houli to us for free a decade ago. Was Dororo working for them back then too?

Carlton will offer up pick 9 to Sydney to get Tom Papley although the Blues want to receive a pick back.

The Western Bulldogs believe a third round pick in the vicinity of the pick 45 and 51 is a reasonable deal for Adelaide defender Alex Keath.

The Western Bulldogs remain adamant that pick 32 is enough to prise Josh Bruce out of St Kilda.

I too want to know why our players, who won premierships, are just low value duds but other teams tip truck wares are high price prizes.

I wouldn’t give them our first pick for Daniher. Overrated, skinny, injury prone dud.

So let me get this straight- Freeo wanted pick 6 plus another first rounder for Brad Hill when Hawthorn traded him for pick 23, 2 years ago after being a 3 time premiership player for them.

Pick the delusional club.

Freo seem to think after the Suns gave them pick 2 for Weller that every other club is just as nuts.

They can't get pick 6 now because the Saints called their bluff and swapped pick 6 to GWS for picks 12 & 18.

Hopefully, with each club wanting Butler and Menadue respectively, we can use the situation to try and push up the draft order after being duded on the Ellis compo. Both the Saints and Freo would like to get their hands on our second rounders (38, 39) and early 3rd rounder (41) to do other deals they need to do.
