Appendix?

One hopes it's as innocent as that.

History will lead to speculation.

Our old mate the burly man - he's been keeping a very low profile recently.  Wonder how he's traveling?   ???

SEN just repeated their report.

Cuz saw the club doctors last night about abdominal pains and they sent him home. He was still having the pains this morning so he was taken to hospital. They are doing tests.

Ben Cousins in hospital

RICHMOND says Ben Cousins is unlikely to take his place in the Tigers’ practice match on Saturday after being taken to hospital with abdominal pains this morning.

Cousins will be kept in hospital for observation overnight, but the club is confident he has not suffered serious damage.

He was to take part in Richmond’s final practice match against Essendon in Morwell but is expected to miss that game.

Cousins reported abdominal pain last night but it was not considered serious enough for him to be hospitalised.

When the pain did not abate today he was taken to hospital, with doctors currently subjecting him to a raft of tests.

While the Tigers are hopeful he has only an appendix problem or something similarly treatable, it will still affect his Round 1 preparation.

Cousins has enjoyed an excellent pre-season, after last year tearing his hamstring in his comeback to football against Carlton in Round 1.

SEN said Cuz will be kept in hospital overnight and the docs are still waiting for blood test results to come back.

Fingers crossed it is only something minor and he's okay  :pray.

Ch 10 news said Cuz will be kept in Epworth overnight. Richmond think it's nothing serious but are doing precautionary tests just to make sure there's nothing wrong.

Ch 7 have a reporter outside the front of Epworth hospital. Docs still don't know what is wrong. They are doing tests including blood tests to find out what is wrong. Richmond says he won't play on Saturday but are hopefully it's nothing long-term wrong and he'll be okay for round 1.

Richmond midfielder Ben Cousins was admitted to the Epworth Hospital earlier today suffering from abdominal pain.

Cousins will remain in hospital overnight for observation and will undergo tests in the morning after he has fasted.

“Ben’s condition does not appear serious but as a precautionary measure we would like some tests done to see what the problem is,” Richmond General Manager of Football Craig Cameron said.

“It is doubtful that Ben will play against Essendon in the NAB Challenge match in Morwell on Saturday.” he said.
