Hutchy's bit......

* Meeting between Hinkley and Richmond just finished up. A 4 hour marathon. 10 Richmond officials present including Benny Gale.

* Hinkley, Richardson, Hardwick, Rawlings all still alive in the process.

* Decision not until middle next week at the earliest (Wed or Thurs).

* Club told Hutchy no decision has been made yet.

* Finals 2 candidates still to go before the full board.

* Hutchy says it's hard to believe Hinkley has been given the job. He wouldn't be taking the low odds as yet.

* Port have offered Hardwick a 5 year takeover deal similar to Pies with Malthouse and Buckley. 2 years as assistant followed by 3 as senior coach. Will Hardwick now wait for the Richmond process to finish with that offer from Port on the table?

* Hardwick not impressed with North's coaching process. He didn't even get to meet Brayshaw.

* Richo said to Hutchy at the end - "hope it's nice and cold out there Hutchy" :lol.

Just shows the media are once again in the dark about this and are just guessing.

If Hardwick bails for the Port option then you'd think the final 2 will be Hinkley and Richardson. If Hardwick doesn't then he must feel he's a big chance for our gig.

So much for North's process btw despite their spin.

Is Hardwick on the show tonight?

If he is Brayshaw might be feeling a little bit uncomfortable after North stood up Hardwick after promising a second presentation. Hardwick can also say to Brayshaw's face that he preferred Richmond over North :thumbsup.

Oh yes and Brayshaw will subject himself to that  :whistle

Just a brief recognition of Hardwick getting the job and that's it.
Two weeks ago after the Collingwood loss and before Scott was annouced as Sh1tboner coach on the Sunday Footy Show they were baking us in typical over the top media style to try and make us look awful in the media in the hope Hardwick would possibly consider North. Yes Brayshaw will fall for that.

Only reason they announced they got a coach before us was to show that Scott was ultimately their second choice behind Buckley and have a public perception that they were thorough and going through a process to snare what they perceived was the best fit for their club. :lol

Damien rejected the plain and simple and showed what a poo, sorry, pathetic club with a huge inferiority complex they are. Sh1tboner spirit anyone. :rollin

No mentioned of Hardwick at all at the start  :whistle.

Hutchy will have some news on assistant coaches.

Edit: they finally mentioned Hardwick got the Richmond job after Sam was introduced 10 or so mins in.

Yep Gary Lyon only briefly mentioned the appointment of Damien Hardwick as a sideshow to the Buddy Franklin tribunal case about 10 minutes into the show.  :whistle

Probably worked well for Brayshaw that way.  :wallywink

So definentely no Hardwick Footy Show interview.

Hutchy's segment - 27/8/09:

Hutchy said Browny hopes to play on if not at Richmond somewhere else.

Browny actually said it's been a disappointing year with groin problems. He'll get that fized over preseaason and be right to play next year. Body does slow down a bit as you get older but the mind is good. Hopes to be in the Y&B next year.

Lids contractual situation is progressing well according to Hutchy. He'll get a 3 year deal.

Melbourne will guarantee Tom Scully in two weeks time they will be taking him with pick 1.

The Bulldogs are preparing Leon Cameron over the next couple of years to be the successor to Rodney Eade.

If you dosed off for a sec you would have missed it. Gutless by Brayshaw. It's the sort of thing Eddie use to do when he turned the footy show into the Collingwood show. When it was positive story get a club rep. in and spend 30 minutes promoting it; yet ignore or skim over any negative press.

I hope that Richmond are keeping a tab of all the knobs in the media who like to get stuck into us.

Then when we start to improve and they want to interview Damien, the likes of Walls, Shaw and The Footy Show get told, thanks but no thanks.

I agree MT - Bayshaw was gutless especially after spending some much time last week and even inviting his coach on to promote his club and more importantly himself. Lyon is just as bad. He is fiercely protective of North Melbourne and his mate to the point he takes it personally if someone such as Caro suggests that North may be inferior in any way.

At the very least they should have set up a brief recorded interview with Harwick during Hutchies segment but they spent the whole of 5 seconds on it. Just reaks of self interest and hypocrisy.

Shouldn't expect anymore from the two fools running it when Eddie, who at least had some credibility, used to be so blatantly biased.

Just gives me the sh^%s!

The reason I stopped watching it a few years ago.  And watching footy teams is getting nearly as bad.  Shaw is the consumate moron as we all know but fair dinkum, Brian Taylor is trying his hardest to out-wanker him.  It's becoming a really poor show with those sub-standard fools on it.

I absolutely agree about Shaw.

The best part about his hatred for Richmond is that we caused it when we thrashed the Magpies in the 1980 Grand Final.

No prizes for second Shawey and no matter what crap you dish out it won't bring back the 1980 Premiership.

Browny apparently on the Footy Show panel tonight. If true I wonder if he opens up now he's been cut.

not sure if lyon is talking it up but he hinted some interesting stuff will come out of Browny's interview.
