“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

No play for racism in football.

Speaking of, why is it we don't do a welcome to country before every game or at the very least acknowledge the traditional land owners?
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

Sam's got the flu so hopefully Cotch doesn't catch it :P.

* Cotch said we feel we have a bit of a 'know' about Hawthorn due to Dimma and Ross Smith having spent time at the Hawks.

* Small knee injury 5-6 weeks into the season. Didn't feel it took its toll.

* Young blokes have stood up and taken the pressure off the leaders.

* Dusty spent 3-4 weeks with Cotch earlier in the year. Tatts is Dusty's thing; Cotch is not a tatts man. Dusty had to find the right balance and he's been great this year. Chocco has sat down with him and set a program for him to follow daily. Dusty ticks off 3-4 things to do a day (eg: pay phone bills etc) so he has some structure in and to his life.

* We've been criticised for not taking it up to the top sides. We beat Freo two weeks ago. We want more scalps.

* Lids knows he still has areas of improvement as far breaking a tag. However he's worked out if he can still contribute to the team's success without needing to get 30 possies then that's the main thing.

* Fingers crossed Kingy will be back next week. He's important to our structure.

* Cotch getting married in December.

I don't really care what team people follow as long as it's an AFL team. If they are following any other codes don't bother talkin to me, not interested at all. I've spent a lot of time trying to convert any person I can to be an AFL supporter, again don't care what team they follow as long as they follow footy. I have always had a dream of every single person in Australia following the one code OUR CODE in all states.
So my point is, when somebody as important (I bite my tongue while saying it) as Sam Newman, bags interstate teams, as it is commonly known, it really Pi##%s me off for the fact that a new potential AFL supporter may be watching and after seeing that twit on TV will probably go follow soccer or gridiron or some rubbish like that.

People like him do more harm than good for footy.

He could actually do a massive amount of good for footy if he wasn't such a knob.

Need another country to play it IMO, AFL should be introduced to New Zealand.  Maybe send N0rt over there.
