A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Knights a free agent
By Kim Hagdorn
Sports News First
6 September 2012 11:44AM EST

ADELAIDE utility Chris Knights is emerging as another early candidate to enter the AFL’s new free agency trade market.

After almost a three-year battle with foot, ankle and thigh injuries Knights has been unable to secure a regular spot in the strong Crows line-up and looks headed to pursue a switch in an ambitious bid to resurrect his stalled career.

Knights, 26, has managed just five games in Adelaide’s meteoric rise back into the upper echelon of the league’s ladder this year after making 16 appearances last season when the Crows finished a dismal 14th.

He struggled to break into the strong and relatively injury-free Crows line-up early this season with more groin and thigh problems and the blistering form of Adelaide’s energised on-ball machine.

He is not expected to figure strongly in Crows coach Brenton Sanderson's selection plans for this month's finals series.

Knights was a casualty of Adelaide's shock 10-point loss to Brisbane at the Gabba in Round 21 last month when he managed only seven disposals.

He temporarily broke back into the Crows midfield for the month from Round 12 to 16, but made just the one more appearance against the Lions.

He is considered only a borderline contender to win a place back in the Crows finals outfit after Saturday's home game showdown with Sydney.

Knights can enter the league’s historic free trade system from October 1-19 totally unrestricted in his potential movement.

He is officially listed as an unrestricted free agent with his eight years of unbroken Crows service and is not inside Adelaide’s top 25 percent of salary earners.

The tough half-forward and occasional midfielder who has booted 68 goals in his 96 Crows outings is tipped to join departing Melbourne on-baller Brent Moloney as initial players opting for the free trade scheme to find a new club.

It is believed that Essendon has shown the most interest in Goddard, but the Bombers are understood to be reluctant to commit to a deal over four or five years in the vicinity of $800,000 a season. Many clubs, including Geelong, have registered an interest in Goddard but almost all have so far baulked at his price. It is believed Goddard's preference is to remain in Melbourne.

St Kilda coach Scott Watters this week denied that key forward Justin Koschitzke would be put up for trade next month. According to the Saints, the 30-year-old remains under contract for one more year.

Adelaide key forward Kurt Tippett, 25, appears certain to leave the Crows after their finals campaign, with Gold Coast the frontrunner. The off-contract Tippett is being lured home to Queensland, with the Suns and Brisbane both chasing him with similar deals.

Gold Coast is preparing for life after Josh Caddy, with the promising midfielder set to tell the Suns he wants to be traded home to a Victorian club.

Rumour circulating the net is that Richmond will trade pick 9 for Josh Caddy and Josh Toy of the Suns.  Would do it instantly if true.....

Probably just a rumour though......
