Morton looked very good. Knows where the goals are.

Second week in a row that McMahon's disposal was top class - what he was recruited for.

let hope he continues to play that way, 1 game is ok but Richmond needs them to be more consistant  :thumbsup

if you werer to ask me morton vs petts i would go morton.

he is younger, faster (not much) and classier than Petts. Could be a good crumber who also has a good footy brain.

Looking to the future re: Crumbers i see Edwards, Morton and Collard as potentials.

I do not see Petts as a crumber. He is more a small leading forward (a slow one at that) and his defensive game (or rather lack of) never ceases to amaze me.

What did we all think of Morton and McMahon's games today?

Very happy with Morton, he is a class act. Skills are good and he knows how to kick a goal.

As for McMahon, he doesnt really add much to our team IMO. As someone said at the footy today, i wonder how many of his possesions are from spotting up on a kick out. I think we gave away too much for what we got, not to mention his salary.

Morton has taken Pettifer position as far as I am concerned

McMahon, you know my thoughts, gains insignificant possesions from the kick ins which glorfiy his stats :chuck

Morton will be a very good addition to our side.

Still concerned that McMahon is too much of a front runner. When the game was tight he seemed to really fluff his kick. Can't remember which qtr it was, think the 3rd, where we're coming out of defence and he absolutely scrubbed the kick into the turf  :banghead. Please get Casserly in the side

Agree Jack - offers much more defensively IMHO. His workrate in trying to keep the ball in our F50 along with Edwards is what we need.

McMahon - he is doing what he was bought to the Club to do and that's give us cleaner delivery out of the backline - which he is doing. Can anyone tell me whay he wasn't given a free kcik today in that marking contest down the Lockett end - almost had his head sent into the stands :-\

He deserved a free but there was no malice from the Doggie, Addison I think, he had his eyes on the ball the whole time and from what I see these days that one factor goes a long way towards them blowing the whistle and simply calling it valid incidental contact.

But yeah, he goes him high regardless so it shouldve been a free. . . .  . so stuff him! Why am I making excuses for the maggots!?  ;D

Head high contact is head high contact should have been a free.

Ditto for Richo when Giansaracusia (or whatever it is ;D) hit him in the head just prior to Richo grabbing his foot.

Umpiring today was rather perpleaxing IMHO

i think you are being generous mate, i thought the umpiring was disgraceful today. Foley in the pocket did handball that footy, albeit just, and what happened a goal to the doggies.

richo's mark over the line another one. seemed to favour the dogs where it counted though, in front of goal due to pathetic decisions.

To be honest Daniel I thought the umpiring today was (insert a certain F word here) disgraceful and pathetic. There were too many times today when they wouldn't or didn't have the courage to make a decision. Scott Welsh - dropping the ball, hell Kane Johnson - dropping the ball. Kel Moore legged in the final quarter should i go on?

All they did today was flap their arms and say play on.

No wonder footy supporters have very little respect for these dimwits

Yeah I agree but I was making some kind of case of how the umpire could've missed it.  :-\

Agree with Jack that Morton has replaced Petts. Some might say Jordy has replaced Joel too. Hard to fit both in the one side if they both play the same role.
