LOL danog. Bomberblitz were spreading a rumour today that Lloyd and Campbell Brown were on the panel tonight.

Browny is going to interview Sam tonight.

Hutchy's got some "big news" on the assistant coach front and player/trade movement involving Hawthorn.

Hutchy's segment 3/9/09:

If Brian Lake wants to leave (which is unlikely) the Bulldogs will not trade him and will let him go into the PSD. Hawthorn very keen on him.

Hawks are interested in Rance.

Hutchy said Hawthorn are willing to trade have put their picks 9 and 25 on the table.

Anthony Rock was sacked by North with a month to go on his contract. Hutchy said to brayshaw how is it that a club premiership player is sacked while still contracted. Brayshaw said "he's a really good bloke" and "we'll look after him" but the new coach wanted his own people.

Laidley could be off to Port to stand behind Mark Williams.

Would we cop 9 + 25 for Rance?

That probably equates to Koby Stevens + Aaron Black

Youd have to think about it surely.

Wouldnt think a player such as Rance would bring 2 picks.
At best we could get a round 3 pick for him.
He has too many flaws for mine. Might be courageous but has issues with awareness, speed and kicking

Their pick 9 for Rance and our pick 19??? Just might work, either way I saw we keep Rance!

There's no way I'd trade him for anything less than Rance & 19 for Pick 9 & 25
Even Darren Glass looked slow, unaware and a bad kick before he was 21, next thing he's AA full back

Excellent point Infamy...Darren Glass looked "ordinary" early in his career...Then won AA when he was 25 and again when he was 26.

Rance is still only 19 years old.

Pick 9 for Rance + pick 19 is far too cheap first of all (Rance given up just to move 10 spots up the draft) and we'd have to use a late pick in a weak draft to replace his spot on the list. It's not workable. We would have to get an extra early pick in exchange to make any deal worthwhile to us otherwise forget it. Hawks would need to hand over pick 9 bare minimum for mine. Pick 19 may get us someone like Talia who still may be around at that point whereas he'll probably be gone by pick 25.

Hutchy may have some news tonight. He usually does when it comes to Richmond.

Can't wait.

Funny I thought a major footy news story this week was Josh Gibson wanting out of North to go to Hawthorn. Apparently not as it hasn't got a mention in tonight's show  :whistle.

They showed vision of Lucas having a go at punting and he said he enjoyed it but it's just something he's just considering as an option at the moment amongst a number of things. Hutchy said Lucas is being courted by a few clubs particularly Richmond as an assistant coach.
