you dont think its a sideways move. Replacing 2 duds for 1 dud.

no, i cant see the logic in a levi, even as bad as we are in that department.

if given a choice i would take sam reid over Levi. At least he can play back.

my opinion anyway.

fwiw i think the debate matters little as this is good as done, according to a cartlon mate has told me who is really close with one of the players.

What if the only one we can get is casboult ? Take him or back griff and Elton

Welcome aboard Levi.

stuff i may lay the red carpet myself for the lad if thats the case.
:lol
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Not interested in Casboult got to aim better then that and wrong age bracket turning 28 next year. Rather a kid to be honest.

We need to be taking a KPP in the first round at least. But we need to get 2 to 3 years of development into that kid.  That is where Casboult would come in.  Gives us immediate coverage while we develop some kids.  So doesn't really matter about the age profile IMO

Yep let's fix our poor conversion by bringing in a bloke who makes Castagna look reliable.....canny recruiting..... :clapping

Greg Denham on SEN this morning:

Sam Reid
– "Collingwood and Richmond interested and would be mad not to be."

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/08/03/greg-denhams-trade-whispers-update/

Didn't Sydney just re-sign Reid & Zak Jones a couple of days ago?

Not Reid.

He has now...so it looks like Casboob or Tipload....

Speaking of Casboob, according to Jonathan Brown (who basically said we shouldn't bother), he averages a whopping 9 disposals, 1 goal, 1 tackle, 5 hit outs & 2 contested marks per game (he conceded that last stat was not bad) .....but yeah nah that sounds like the answer to our second KPF problem and a steal at 650k he's rumoured to be asking for..... :gotigers

29.18 for the season. Better accuracy than most of our team, including Jack

Yeah that's great - got the stat on the shots that didn't score at all?

Since when does 29 goals in 19 games equate to 1 goal a game?
29 goals for a forward/second ruckman is a pretty decent season.
What other forward/second ruckman has kicked more goals this year?
Especially ones that play in the second worst team in the comp who's main focus is defence.
Does anyone think that if we had Casboult in our side this year we wouldn't have won more games? His 1.5 goals a game say we win another 3 or 4 games purely just on stats.
He would be free in terms of draft picks and we could still use our 2 first round draft picks for other needs or young KPP's. Or even Jake Lever  :shh
And 500 to 600k a year isn't too bad when you consider we pay Grigg about 400.
He is no Wayne Carey but he is big and strong, has the best hands in the game and would make a difference.
Our stars are aging and we need good solid player around now to support them.

He offers stuff all in the ruck, is lazy -which sounds like a certain bloke you don't rate and another we just got rid of- and misses crucial shots at crucial times, so it's highly debatable whether or not he would've gotten us over the line in those matches...either way, if the rumours are true, it'll take around 650k to pry him loose from Carlton and he's just not worth that IMO....keeping draft picks is great and all but cap space is also fairly important.....hate to miss out on a chance at geniune guns like Lever & McGovern this year or Brown, Lynch or even Stringer next year because we paid overs for another mediocre stop-gap solution....

Casboult is necessary for mine. As long as we're not paying well overs.
