Tim Clarke returns to Tigerland (Coburg coach in 2013)
« on: September 20, 2012, 05:39:00 PM »
We are also pleased to announce Tim Clarke will be returning to the Tiges. You may remember Tim from his playing days with the Hawks.

He was a development coach here for the 2010/11 seasons and after a year off will return to coach Coburg and be in development here. Welcome back Tim

Thinks this appointment confirms what I posted the other day  ;D

I don't think there have been enough (any) proofs yet that say to me is bad or been a failure at his job.

After saying we would have "two more development coaches" in 2012, he released newett and Clarke and hired Mellor.
Is that a failure on his key role?

Slight correction - He didn't release Clarke. Clarke  he left of his own accord to move the States with his American born wife

He will also take over as senior coach of Richmond’s VFL affiliate, Coburg Tigers, in 2013, replacing Adam Potter.
The biggest news out of his return is this. Presumably if Clarke does the job asked of him, he will get first dibs when we go it alone in 2014.

Fantastic news.

Worked with Tim for two years at Coburg and he is a fantastic guy who knows his footy.

He is very well respected at Coburg also and will do a great job.

Seeing all this incredible off field movement and building makes u just shake your head at how far behind the 8 ball we were 3 years ago, and to think we all haboured hope we would come good lol

Who knows where we'd be without the FTF and Gale bringing the extra corporate $$

Im beginning to get some confidence that with choco heading our development academy with some able assistants that the days of AA junior talent amounting to nothing are indeed a thing of the past :pray

Seeing Tim Clarke is employed by the RFC I think it is a given he will be the coach of Richmond's VFL side in 2014

Agree great news for the Club

For memory I think Tim won a B&F at Coburg so that Coburg background should keep some of the Burger old timers  ;) happy as well

You should have chased Thommo, Willy. He'd be an even better version of Aryesy in the VFL
