That no one else offered Martin a huge contract to lure him awayat the time shows that the football world in general was wary of his non football issues.

I know some dont want to give RFC any credit what so ever, but in hindsight they played the situation correctly and it seems they have managed him well to this point in time since, both on and off field.

LMAO, you must definately have some sort of filter on your TV.

Watch again and tell us how many center bounces Martin started in the square and what percentage of his disposals were in the opposition half of the ground.

Are you denying that he was the go to player across half back, that players were not constantly trying to the ball to him across that line?

Destructive Dusty back at it

After last week's scrappy win over Carlton, Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said he hoped to get better games from his better players in coming weeks. Dustin Martin accepted the challenge. The star Tiger was at his damaging best early against the Bulldogs, with 11 touches and a long goal in the opening term. In what would have annoyed impatient AFL Fantasy coaches who traded Martin out of their teams this week, he kept going and was clearly the most significant Richmond midfielder against the Dogs. He closed the game with 31 disposals and six tackles (and 114 Fantasy points for those who let him go).

Pffft sounds great on paper.

Did a handful of nice things, some great long passes. But nowhere near that destructive.

Pity he hasn't any real mongrel in him. Would be a real weapon if he was a bit more dirty towards opposition players.
