Too funny. Spud had some of the worst skills going around even for his day. They are probably using him in the capacity of an example of what not to do with the footy.

Frawley joins Hawks to boost defence

UNABLE to land Bret Thornton during the trade period, Hawthorn has turned to a famed full-back to improve its defence — Danny Frawley.

Frawley, who has been weighing up whether to return to football full-time, will take up a part-time position to coach Hawthorn's tall defenders, including Zac Dawson, Danny Jacobs and Trent Croad, as well as young forwards Lance Franklin and Jarryd Roughead.

Hawthorn had offered Frawley a full-time position as a mentor/senior assistant while Geelong, too, had sounded him out about a possible role, but the former Richmond coach and St Kilda captain has decided to stick with his commentary and business interests while maintaining part-time involvement.
