Promising Adelaide forward Jack Gunston appears to have already made a decision on his playing future.

The 20-year-old is reported to have asked Adelaide for a trade to a Victorian-based club to be nearer to family and friends.

He didn't attend the Crows' club champion award on Friday night, preferring to remain in Melbourne.

The lanky forward increased his trade value significantly in the latter-part of the season, kicking 12.9 in his last five matches.

He's only played 14 games for Adelaide since being selected with pick No.29 in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft.

Harper and Crows chief executive Steven Trigg are hoping to meet with Gunston and his family to discuss his future over the weekend.

Ruckman Maric also appears destined to leave the club for the lure of greater opportunities at Richmond.

Agree. Give them a late draft pick too just to get rid of him.  ;D

Vickery should spend 80% of his time at least  in the forward line IMHO.

... Tonight's club champion dinner could be Mitch Clark's last Lions function.

The out-of-contract ruckman/forward met with Voss yesterday as part of the club's standard end-of-season review process.

Clark is expected to make a decision about his future after tonight's presentation at the Brisbane Convention Centre.

Fremantle and Richmond are the two front-runners for Clark's services if he decides to leave the Gabba. Greater Western Sydney have dropped out of the chase for the 23-year-old.

A trade with the Dockers could prove difficult but Fremantle might be willing to offer up defender Paul Duffield and a draft pick for Clark.

We dont have a quality mid sized half forward. Gunston should be on the list if hes available. The way things stand at the moment he would fit in as a 3rd forward and if Griffiths can show he can play then Gunston takes the 4th defender in any potential forward line. That starts to look like a pretty decent forward line.

Anyone seen much of Gunston? Is he quick, agile?  strong mark? size? Havent seen any footage of him at all over the past 2 seasons
