David Schwarz on SEN said we're talking to Carlton about some trade.

We will have to start calling Schwartz Scoop
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

I believe Schwarz said it was a 'small trade'. Thinking we are probably sending McGuane for a late pick. Rumour is that 2 clubs are after his services. Can't see us picking up one of their players.

GREATER Western Sydney is unlikely to sign any more uncontracted players this year.

The Giants have netted Melbourne's Tom Scully, Bulldog Callan Ward, Fremantle's Rhys Palmer and Adelaide's Phil Davis in the past few weeks but that is likely to be their only batch for this season according to GWS list manager Stephen Silvagni.

"At this stage we're pretty much done, obviously we've got trade week to get through but in terms of the uncontracted we are pretty much done," Silvagni told Melbourne radio station 3AW on Friday night.

"Most people are quite aware we can go again next year. We are being quite patient in terms of the uncontracted signings."

This doesnt debunk the foley rumour.

This doesnt debunk the foley rumour.

If anything it adds fuel to it. "obviously we've got trade week" implies they will get players in trade week. Foley im pretty sure is contracted. That's what i heard from someone at the club.

Im not going to enjoy the Lids thing hanging over our heads all year.  I mean if that nub Scully gets two first rounders, what is Lids worth then?  He was a top pick and is a proven better player with plenty of years left.

It's entirely dependent on what they're paid at the new club.

Scary.  If Sheedy borks us, it will be more than chicken poop being delivered to GWS, it will be stuffing anthrax.

If we traded Foley to GWS, would they still be able to go after Lids next year? I'm guessing they still would be as I think they only aren't allowed to poach two uncontracted players.

no think they can only poach one per club.  Other one would have to be a trade.

If we traded Foley they still could get Lids. This is because Foley is contracted and the trade would be for a pick in the mini draft. They allowed one uncontracted player per club.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

On the match preview Roar Vision for Lids' 150th, he mentioned that only Newman was ahead of him for games played and no finals and said that he'll leave the title to Newman. I would imagine playing finals footy would be a big thing in the back of his mind and is hopefully enough of a deterrent. Lids would be on a lot more coin than Scully would of been at Melbourne and doesn't he go on veteran status in a few years?

I agree it's going to be a bit poop and there will be much media speculation all year but for some reason I'm feeling we'll be OK. Hopefully anyway.
