So close FNM.
Well done RollsRoyce :clapping :clapping
Here's the lyrics.
don't care if monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and wednesday too
Thursday i don't care about you
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's friday i'm in love
Saturday wait
And sunday always comes too late
But friday never hesitate...
I don't care if monday's black
Tuesday wednesday heart attack
Thursday never looking back
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday wednesday stay in bed
Or thursday watch the walls instead
It's friday i'm in love

Q7. Abbreviated suits = MGMT (ManaGeMenT)
I've never heard of them.
BTW, if you're wondering how I got Tom Tom Club out of "abbreviated suits", well I was trying to think of bands with items of clothing in their name, and the best I could come up with was "Menswear", an obscure Britpop band from the '90's.
Then I thought, what if "suits" is a bit of a red herring. So I thought of playing cards suits, and hence "clubs", and Tom is an abbreviation of Thomas. Not bad huh? Now if only it had been correct :P

You probably would've heard MGMT's song KIDZ even as background music to the footy as they went to ad breaks. It's been a fairly heavily played song over the last 12 months.

Hey, does anybody know if it's possible to suggest a piece of music to the programmers at channel nine, or a contact number/e-mail if it is possible. I know a song that would be perfect for next summer's cricket telecast with a gnarly rock beat, and heaps of lyrics alluding to the great game. And it absolutely wouldn't be on their radar at all, because it's so obscure.
I kind of know the guitarist as well,so getting his permission to use it would be easy, and I'm sure he'd love the royalties...

Well that'll teach me to always go for the most obscure bands I can think of to make it more difficult.
But honestly, Q1. are legends. They played the Big Day Out about 4 years ago IIRC, and their original guitarist, who ironically was the straightest member drugs-wise, had a fatal heart attack about a year ago.

Sorry MT, wrong on all counts (although you are on the right track with Q3. in terms of both WW1 imagery, and the vintage of the band in question.)
Also, I should add that question 5 is a solo artist, not a band, and that he produced Q6's first album.
As for Syd Barrett, there's a cover story with a cd of artists covering his songs in an upcoming issue of MOJO (my bible). Airfreight copies are already available here, but they're a bit pricier. I love Syd. His work with the Floyd (Arnold Layne) and solo (Gigolo Aunts) is really the biz.

There is a band called franz ferdinand so even if that's not you had in mind, I'm still going to claim it :lol
