:gotigers Heads up MT:There's a documentary on Pink Floyd next Wednesday night on ABC2 at 9:30
Cheers RR. Speaking of the Floyd I stumbled over an old interview from the 60s on youtube where the interviewer was complaining to Roger Waters and the late Syd Barrett  :( that their music was too loud and he doesn't like loud music  :lol.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs-tSn-T5TQ

Sorry MT, wrong on all counts (although you are on the right track with Q3. in terms of both WW1 imagery, and the vintage of the band in question.)
Also, I should add that question 5 is a solo artist, not a band, and that he produced Q6's first album.
As for Syd Barrett, there's a cover story with a cd of artists covering his songs in an upcoming issue of MOJO (my bible). Airfreight copies are already available here, but they're a bit pricier. I love Syd. His work with the Floyd (Arnold Layne) and solo (Gigolo Aunts) is really the biz.
Lucifer Sam is my favourite song of Syd's.

1. Yes
2. Signal
5. I was going to say Brian Setzer (close to alka-seltzer) of Stray Cats but then that doesn't fit in with the clue for Q6  :-\.

As for Q2. Think what the average Richmond midfielder ends up doing against Adelaide when he looks up the ground while trying to find a teammate in our forward line.

6. Devo of course. I was thinking Roxy Music which is why I didn't get it at first.

As for Q2. Think what the average Richmond midfielder ends up doing against Adelaide when he looks up the ground while trying to find a teammate in our forward line.

4. The Archers?

If we were playing the old "hotter - colder" game right now, you'd be an iceberg ;D
With that in mind, here are some very specific clues:
Q1. Current 1 word "Americana" band, Roger.....?
Q2. It's a two-word bird name.(American '90's)
Q3. Roman God of war + money is kept in a bank.....? (Current American)

I thought of Mars Volta but didn't place Volta with an olympic event so ruled it out :wallywink.
