1. Black Flag? (well that's "half" black and white)
2. Banana Splits?
3. Seal?

These "new" clues are suspiciously like the old ones  :lol

Yeah, I was going to say White Stripes too, but Al beat me to it.
I'll say "Bananarama" for question two.

Cheers RR. Speaking of the Floyd I stumbled over an old interview from the 60s on youtube where the interviewer was complaining to Roger Waters and the late Syd Barrett  :( that their music was too loud and he doesn't like loud music  :lol.

Sorry MT, wrong on all counts (although you are on the right track with Q3. in terms of both WW1 imagery, and the vintage of the band in question.)
Also, I should add that question 5 is a solo artist, not a band, and that he produced Q6's first album.
As for Syd Barrett, there's a cover story with a cd of artists covering his songs in an upcoming issue of MOJO (my bible). Airfreight copies are already available here, but they're a bit pricier. I love Syd. His work with the Floyd (Arnold Layne) and solo (Gigolo Aunts) is really the biz.
