Back the recruiters, a bit mind boggiling we have drafted 3 key fwds and Jobe Shanahan is still there but Simms.

Also a bit odd that we didn't downgrade as I'm sure Simms would have been there in the 30s.

Totally different profile to the others his 200cm and a ruck forward not a primary KF. His ruck work has been impressive.

Yep. Rookie draft tomorrow starting around midday. Not sure how many picks we'll have and use.

we have zero spots available

Don't we have at least one rookie spot free after passing on our last pick last night?

By my count, we’ve got 36 on the primary list and 7 rookies. So we’ve got 1 spot left but didn’t the club say when we announced our delistings that we would re-rookie Colina? If that’s the case then I think that’s it.

Colina is already be re-rookied. Cat B rookie so outside the main lists (primary & rookie)

I love this pick because it was for a player we just had to have! Blair trading back into the draft to get a player they were thinking of taking in the twenties. The best part of claiming this small little star is that it fills another need. In one draft, we now have what other teams have tried to assemble through the draft over half a decade.

We now have three mids: one player maker, one inside bull and one elusive outside creator.
We also have two key forwards (& a half): one aggro tall beast and one explosive marking lead.
Add to this a interceptor marking defender, a agile ruck/forward and a clever small crumber.

So all in all, we have addressed all of our fundamental needs in one draft (and mostly in one draft round).

It's hard not be feel excited about the future.
